Washington Semester Recap Part 5

What time is it? WSP time. I hope you replied in your best High School Musical voice!

These weeks have flown by in a blur. I can’t believe the program will be over in less than two weeks!

Again, we went to plenty of places week but I’ll keep it simple! The people we’ve met with include: the Emmy award winning Maureen Bunyan of ABC 7, Data Quality Campaign’s Dakari Aarons, the National Press Club with USA Today’s columnist DeWayne Wickham, documentary filmmaker Bill Gentile, USA Today’s copy editor Florence Brown, and a boat trip to the Chesapeake!

I bet you know which one I enjoyed the most, huh?

YES. Anything relating to television broadcast is my favorite! Going to ABC 7 and meeting with legendary Maureen Bunyan was awesome. She was very humble, knowledgeable and helpful, too.IMG_2313IMG_2307IMG_2314

I also got to interview THE ROBIN GIVHAN for an assignment! It was great getting to know the Pulitzer prize winning fashion critic for The Washington Post.

Yay! Time for Chesapeake photos. I had so much fun! I never been on a boat before!
