Smile Brilliant

Hey guys!

Happy Monday 🙂

Yes, happy happy happy happy (Pharell’s voice lol). I’m grinning from ear to ear because 1. God graced me to be alive. 2. my smile has gotten brighter! Yayyyyyy!

All thanks to Smile Brilliant.

When I first heard from the company, I was a bit hesitant in agreeing to work with them solely because my blog never covered anything like this before. However, after agreeing and trying the process for about 2 weeks, I can’t shut up!

Why?

My. Teeth. Are. LIT.

Using Smile Brilliant at home seemed too easy to be true. But using it really was that simple. (You can learn of the process through this awesome YouTuber’s video here.) I’ve always taken good care of my teeth (No braces and I’ve never even had a cavity!) But it was awesome to see how the product helped enhance the whiteness of my teeth in one night. It wasn’t a great difference but I did see small results. From then on, I was excited to see the finish product.

My third night, I guess I was too excited because I put too much gel and irritated the mess out of my gums. No bleeding, no swelling. But man did that baby burn. So be careful, a little goes a long way! I’m telling you so you don’t have to learn the hard way. Trust me.

It’s fast acting enough on it’s own. I can’t wait to continue my process – I’m just so excited about it, I wanted to share the news now!

Maybe I’ll do a follow up post so you all can see the results in a month or so. If not, you can always just see them in my style posts haha.

Check out more reviews/testimonials here and this instructional video  of how it works! Your teeth will shine bright like a diamond for sure 😉

Dying to Live

lenfant plaza01

Guess what?

God’s not dead! No, I don’t think you get it. Let me use caps now: GOD’S NOT DEAD!

I feel like screaming it from the rooftops lol. Resurrection Sunday is such an uplifting day for humankind. Today is symbolic of hope restored. We’ve all been saved everybody! You probably think I’m crazy.

But let me just break it down.

Today’s sermon was about Jesus’ death. (Duh lol) The pastor referenced the opening act of Lazarus’ death and the headliner: Jesus. We focused on how Jesus prayed for God to save Him from death on the cross and God heard Him, yet He still died. Why didn’t God save Him?

Today, we wonder the same thing. “God, why didn’t you save me from death? Why didn’t you save me from that relationship, from me dying in my finances, my relationships, my career? Why didn’t you save my mom, my dad, my grandma from death?” We say to Him, “If You were here, this wouldn’t have happened.”

We ask: how can a loving God let Jesus die? How can He let us die?

We cry out to God but sometimes it seems as if He didn’t hear us because he didn’t save you so you die in that moment.

What we fail to realize is that God didn’t say you wont die. He’s saying that death is not the end. To be saved from death, you actually have to die. What we’re asking God is to keep us from death. We don’t realize that God has completed His best work in the dark (creation, Jesus’ resurrection, etc).

So while you’re “dead”, he’s working on making you brand new. At the moment of death, life breaks out! Saving you from death doesn’t mean you won’t have to go through that death-like situation. The pastor talked about how sometimes when we think God doesn’t show up to save us from our situations, we can’t even show up to church.

The point is: “When you’re made alive, people don’t have to see Jesus in the flesh. They just have to see Him alive in you. When we die to self daily, that’s when we are full of Christ.”

Are you living yet?

In case you didn’t know, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to carry the weight of the world’s sins on His shoulders so that He could wash it all away. Because of his death and resurrection, we can live!

Spring Brings

_MG_9610

Spring brings color. Lots and lots of color.

It isn’t typically my favorite season but after this long winter, I welcome it with bright shades and spunky prints! This mural was painted by Jason Woodside of the DC Art Mural Project. I found this mural while roaming Instagram for cool locations. It’s my mission to show you all the prettiest scenes in DC so my friend and fabulous photographer Casey shot me here!

I’ve been feeling so free lately. Like I’ve been living a new life – a life full of joy. I’ve been skipping more, cheesing harder, treating myself and spending more time with God. I’m on a journey to peace and it’s within my grasp. Shutting out the noise isn’t as hard as it seems!

I read in Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren that I shouldn’t let circumstance such as weather dictate my mood – I’m so working on that! Rain or shine, this smile of mine won’t die!

What does spring bring to you?
