Awesome weekend I had, guys!
The fabulousness all actually began Thursday. Macy’s had an event (hence my title) to celebrate Black History Month. They brought along the fabulous June Ambrose, Johnetta Boone and Tai Beauchamp! June and Johnetta are well known in the fashion realms. They’ve worked with many celebrities like Jay-Z, Beyonce and Zoe Saldana. June even has her own line on HSN!
The event was held here in DC from 5:30 to 7:30.
I got off my internship at 6 and rushed right over to the Metro Center. Thankfully, I was able to catch the last bits of the panel discussion about “The Style of the Soul Era.” Unfortunately, I was in the back!
Afterwards, there was a special reception with wine from Wisdom Oak Winery and hors d’oeuvres from The Soul of Southern Food, Eatonville Restaurant! I didn’t drink, guys lol.
BUT.
I did meet THE JUNE AMBROSE!!!
The panelists were super warm and welcoming! They said I dressed “fabulously”, there were hugs all around and June danced with me! It was awesome. Enough said!
